The original jumpsuit

Yep that's me all those years ago and pissed as hell of taking a photo in this little white jumpsuit. I hated it. Even worse I hated the "ball" hairstyle. The 1970s were ridiculous.

White peasant dress

At first I was really in love iwth this white peasant dress that I found at TK Maxx and thought it would be great for a holiday. Right now I am unsure. It just doesn't have that fullness or flounce that I have seen with other peasant dresses. I have a chili pepper red peasant dress from Newport News that I bought years ago and I like it a lot. However this white one does not do a lot of justice. The top is cute and all but the skirt is a bit narrow. Most peasant dresses have a full skirt but not this one. It just cut straight and narrow and not very figure flattering. Hopefully as I will loose more weight it will look better and possibly towards the end of summer.

The Designing Women tee

I love this t-shirt from Dillard's; the art and colouring is really sweet. It's a burn-out design so yes it cost a lot. Or at least a lot by my standards for a t-shirt. I've named it the Designing Women tee.
I love the messy hair also. Not that big of a fan of the everyday black chick with silky straight hair. The rock chick look is fab for me.

The Aftershock

Aftershock is one of my favourite shops to go to in London. They have nice cool party wear--yeah it can be expensive but they have some good clearance sales from time to time. I love these cute and sexy little tops. They are great and colourful and go well alone of under a jacket. Can't wait to wear this one.

Almost there

I have been trying to find the perfect cami to go with this top jacket. So far the only one that comes closest to the look I am going for is this one that I found at a charity shop in Westbourne Grove yesterday. Actually I am looking for something with a smooth clean finish. The vanilla top is by Almost London. I think I will add some colourful blue beading to the flower on the top. The black skirt is fabulous for the look. It came from Aftershock in Chelsea. This will be a smart look for a summer evening event. Now I gotta find some good black strappy heels to complete it.

Exotic earrings

I love these types of earrings and they don't have to be the real thing as long as they are not too big or too long. I could not find the ones I wanted in Istanbul. The ones I fell in love with at the airport were absolutely gorgeous but they were too expensive for me to buy at $560.
The pair on the left I got at a little shop in Sirkeci and the other ones came from Monsoon--LOL!

My designer bags (One real, one fake)

I have had this Oroton bag for several years now. Oroton was a great company that did really beautiful bags; too bad they closed. I think this black one was around $260 originally and I got it for $45 on Ebay new. I love this bag.
The tan saddle Dior I got at an okay price I guess in Turkey. I have been looking for this one for many years and it's the colour and style that I wanted so I splurged on it. Of course it's not real Dior but who cares?

Huge totes

I love this bag by David Jones. It's huge and great as a tote or overnight bag. The pewter colour is fab too. What I like most is the almost high fashion look of the bag. The PVC is very soft and a good quality style. It's very roomy and I can't wait to take it. I found it at Oxfam and I think it's new.

Sassiness and novelty tees

This is cute black tshirt I got today at Matalan. It was on the clearance so I picked it up. I love the message and the bright colours but I hated the original style of this tee. It was one of those cap sleeve hip slinger things. I revamped it by cutting of the sleeves to make a vest then snip the tops of the straps and tied them and the bottom of the shirt. Jeans and heels will cool and sassy with this top. It will also look good dressed up with some silver jewellery. Ha!

Those fake magazine covers

This cap sleeve top is actually a revamped dress. It was a bit short and sexy and more than I would wear so I trimmed the bottom and made it into a top. I only wore it twice.
I love these fake magazine covers. I know there is some place that actually does the magazine photo frames. Cosmo would be cool.

Triumph cami

I bought this top when I worked for Beales. It looks great under shirts and jackets. It came from Triumph and is actually a lingerie cami but it still looks good. The little silver star in the centre is cute too.

Love this M&S ratty scarf

You know how women are. We buy tons of clothes and accessories that we either never wear or use years later. I have had this beautiful scarf for about two winters and still have never used it. I love it because it has a different look to it. This scarf is by Mark's and Spencer. It looks heavy but it's actually quite light-weight and soft. I love M&S; they have an affordable eclectic look.

Victoria's Secret lace tops

This is one of my favourite pieces from Victoria's Secret. I have this top in both pink and black. The lace gives it an ultra fem touch. The velvet shoulder ties are great accents too. I'm glad the knit part isn't very heavy and it can be worn in summer on days that aren't too hot. I've worn it with nice boot-cut jeans and heeled boots.
